Mawarnkarra Health Service (Mawarnkarra) acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands that we choose to live and work on -the Ngarluma people. We recognise and pay respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and past, present and emerging Elders for their contributions to caring for this country and preserving language and culture.
What We Do
Mawarnkarra provides the families of Roebourne with a fully functional and accredited Clinic that treats approximately 3,000 people per year. We provide a team of health practitioners – including 5 full time doctors plus visiting specialist practitioners and Allied Health Services in the areas of:
- Paediatrician (children’s health),
- Obstetrics/Gynaecologist (for pregnant women),
- General Physician,
- Respiratory (lungs),
- Cardiologist
- Paediatric Cardiologist (children’s heart),
- Endocrinologist (hormone doctor),
- Optometrist
- Ophthalmologist (eye doctor) and
- Liver Clinic
- Audiologist
- Geriatrician
- Psychologist
- Dentist
- Diabetes Educator
- Podiatrist
- Physiotherapist
- Dietician
- Speech Pathologist
Appointments
Walk-In System
Mawarnkarra operates a walk-in system. Patients are seen in order of arrival unless someone presents requiring urgent medical attention. Doctors will see each patients s for as long as required. Patients can put their name down to see the Doctor in the afternoon however they are required to be at the clinic at 2.00 pm and will be seen in order of arrival.
